Kano State overtook Lagos with 80 new cases at 204 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as at 11:50pm on April 30, bringing to the total COVID-19 confirmed vases across Nigeria to 1932.

According to statistics released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, Kano almost doubled Lagos new cases, as 80 new cases were recorded for the North-West state; while Lagos State has 45 new cases.

Other states with new cases include: Gombe, 12; Bauchi and Sokoto, 9 apiece; Borno and Edo, seven new cases each; Rivers and Ogun accounted for six cases apiece; the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Akwa Ibom, and Bayelsa, four cases each; Kaduna, three; Oyo, Delta and Masarawa, two cases apiece; Ondo and Kebbi, one case each.

Of the total 1932 #COVID-19 confirmed cases across Nigeria, 318 persons have been treated and discharged to reunite with their families; while 58 fatalities have been recorded.
