Kwara State has gotten a second donation of N100 million from the BUA Group of Company to flatten the curve ‎of COVID-19 in the state.

Chairman of the Group, Alhaji Abdulsamad Rabiu made the donation in Ilorin, the state capital few weeks after he initially donated N1 billion to some frontline states, including Kwara for the same purpose.

While this donation came directly to the state, the initial gesture was made through the private sector-led Coalition Against COVID-19, CACOVID-19.

Spokesman to rhe state governor and the state Technical Committee on COVID-19, Rafiu Ajakaye,  made this known in a statement.

The new donation is said to bring to N230 million the total cash donations the state had received so far in its drive to contain the deadly virus, according to Ajakaiye.

He said, “The government is particularly grateful to Alhaji AbdulSamad and and all others like him, for the generous donations which have helped in no small measure to combat the fight against the pandemic.”
