The Kano State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has served notice to challenge the victory of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, and its candidate, Alhasan Ado Doguwa, in the January 25 Doguwa/Tudun Wada federal constituency rerun election.
The PDP’s candidate in the rerun election, Air Commodore Salisu Yushau, (rtd), has threfore assembled a team of lawyers to file a petition challenging Doguwa’s election as the member representing Doguwa/Tudun Wada federal constituency in the lower chamber of the National Assembly.
The PDP’s legal team is headed by Ibrahim Isah Wangida, who confirmed that a legal team has been given the brief to commence processes challenging the outcome of the rerun. He disclosed that his team had already complied with the necessary requirements to trigger off the legal tussle to contest the outcome of the rerun poll.

Revealing that all necessary applications are being filed accordingly, he added that the PDP has already enlisted all its witnesses and all relevant documents required not only to flag off the litigation against the outcome, but to prove its case in the rerun election for Doguwa/Tudun Wada federal constituency.
