There will be no public celebration of the end of the holy month of Ramadan in Kano State, the state government has declared.

The declaration is in line with the Federal Government’s directive, which extended the lockdown imposed on the state to contain the continued spread of the COVID-19 pandemic by two weeks

Consequently, the Kano State government has declared that all official and non-official Sallah celebrations across the have been cancelled.

The government also added in order to ease the pressure that the lockdown has put on the populace, Fridays have been added to the days that people may have opportunities to make purchases and restock their homes.
