…Claims He’s The Winner

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi, has declared that he won the election and will go to court.

Recall that Obi came third in the just conducted presidential election, polling 6,101,533 votes to place third behind the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, who scored
6,984,520 votes and the eventual winner, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed
Tinubu, who polled 8,794,726 votes.
The candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, polled 1,496,687 votes, to come a distant fourth, according to election results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Obi said this on Thursday, 2nd March 2023, during the post-election press conference he held in Abuja.

Apologizing to Nigerians for lives lost during the just concluded presidential election, Obi added that the election conducted did not meet the minimum standard of a free, fair, and credible election, and consequently, is filing a suit.

He added, “The election conducted did not meet the minimum standard of a free, fair, credible election, we won the election, and we will prove it.”

Recall that the newly Nigeria President-elect, Tinubu, of the ruling APC, Abubakar of the PDP, and Kwankwaso, of the NNPP, were his major opponents in the just concluded presidential election.
