Members of the statewide Waste and Environmental Education Foundation, SWEEF, on Friday, June 5 paid a courtesy visit to the Lagos State Universal Basuc Education Board, LASUBEB, in commemoration of the World Environment Day.
World Environment Day is one of the biggest days of recognition for encouraging people worldwide to save and protect the environment from different environmental challenges that besiege our current world.
This year’s celebration focuses on biodiversity with the theme “Celebrate Biodiversity.”
While welcoming the visiting pupils to the Board, the Executive Chairman of LASUBEB, Hon. Wahab Alawiye-King encouraged them to strive to save the environment from degradation.
Annually, the 5th of June is set aside by the United Nations to celebrate the day and strengthen the advocacy for a healthier environment.
