As the Osun State governorship poll comes up this weekend, the National President of the Campaign for Dignity in Governance, CDG, Comrade Razaq Olokoba, has expressed optimism that the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the el croon and incumbent governor, Gboyega Oyetola, would come out victorious.

Olokoba, who made this assertion on Tuesday, when a mega rally took place at the Osogbo Sport Stadium, based his confidence on the fact that an achiever and governor of Lagos State, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, is the head of the campaign team constituted by the leadership of the APC recently.

The CDG boss, who also doubles as the
Convener, the Civil Society Organizations on Ondo State Governorship Election has predicted a landslide victory for Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun State in the coming July 16, governorship election, based on the performance of Sanwo-Olu in Ondo State, as well as his superlative performance in Lagos State.

Olokoba averred that Sanwo-Olu’s political acumen, coupled with the capability of other members of the campaign team, who are achievers in their right, like the Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola, will make influence the psyche of the electorate to return Oyetola to office for a second term.

He said, “In addition, Oyetola’s outstanding achievements since his ascension to the gubernatorial throne of the state since 2018 would also aid the Sanwo-Olu’s team to deliver. One good term deserves another.”

The renowned activist, insisted that if the status and calibre of Sanwo-Olu is anything to go by, the Osun State election is as good as already in the kitty, enthusing that “it will go the way of Ekiti State, where the main opposition occupied distant third position on the score sheet.

In conclusion, the activist also assured Sanwo-Olu, his team and Oyetola of his preparedness to use the solid structure of his organization to mobilize voters to vote en masse for the sitting governor with the sole aim of making the job of Sanwo-Olu, his team and Oyetola’s easy and sure, asserting that “come Saturday July 16, the election will be a walkover in favour of the APC.”

Recall that recently, Governor Sanwo-Olu along with other highly placed political juggernauts across the country, (86 of them), was appointed by the APC national leadership in Abuja as chairman of the Campaign Council to oversee how the party would win the July 16 governorship election in Osun State.
