Nigeria now has total 2,388 COVID -19 cases as 220 new ones are confirmed, according to an update provided by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, as at 11:55 pm on Saturday, May 2. has recorded 220 new cases COVID-19 with the country’s total now 2,388.

The daily update, twitted on NCDC’s verified Twitter handle, @NCDCgov, Lagos State lead with 62 cases, while the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, has 52 new cases and Kaduna State came third with 31 new cases.

Other states with new reported COVID-19 cases include: Sokoto, 13; Kebbi, 10; Yobe, 9; Borno six; Edo and Bauchi, five apiece; Gombe, Enugu and Oyo, four each; Zamfara, three; Nasarawa, Osun, Ebonyi, Kwara, Kano and Plateau, two new cases apiece.

Of the 2388 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria, 385 have been discharged while fatality remains at 85.
