A pan-Lagos pro-democracy group, Epe Youth Forum, EYF, has congratulated the governor of Lagos State, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Obafemi Hazmat, on their victory at the Appeal Court, which re-affirmed their mandate on Wednesday.

The Convener of the group, Ogbeni Adewale Oladipupo, in a press statement in Lagos on Thursday, said, “Although the victory was expected, we still have to rejoice with the duo and by extension the good people of the state.”

Oladipupo added that “the verdict is a welcome development.”

The group leader therefore urged the governor to use the opportunity of the verdict to double his focus and concentration with a view to actualizing his promised better second term for the people.

The Wednesday victory, according to Oladipupo was never a surprise, but a confirmation of already known expectations of the people, who gave their mandate overwhelmingly to the duo in March.

He added, “As things stand now, our preoccupation now should be how this administration would settle down properly to prepare ground for the better second term promised the people by the governor.”

Oladipupo therefore urged the opposition to exhibit the spirit of sportsmanship by rallying round the governor for the purpose of moving the state forward.

Concluding, Ogbeni Oladipupo therefore appealed to all the good people of the state to rally round the governor and his administration to make his promised better second term a reality.
