Governor of Yobe State, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, has commiserated with his Borno State counterpart, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, over the death of his spokesman, Malam Isa Gusau.

Buni described Gusau as a dedicated officer who served his principal with commitment and strong conviction.

This was contained in a press statement signed by the Director General, Press and Media Affairs to Govervor Buni, Comrade Mohammed Mamman, a copy which was made available to our correspondent on Saturday.

Bunu said, “Gusau had professionally managed information at the peak of the security challenge in the North-East and Borno State in particular.

“He will be remembered for his resilience, commitment to duty, and long years of diligent service to the governor and government of Borno State.

“I condole His Excellency, my brother, Governor Zulum, the government and people of Borno State over this sad loss at a time when his services are needed to support the government.”

He prayed to God to forgive Late Gusau’s shortcomings and grant his family the fortitude to bear this sad loss.

Gusau served as Special Adviser on Media to Vice President Kashim Shettima when he was governor of Borno State and was inherited by Governor Zulum, who he served for about five years.
