Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, yesterday expressed condolences to the Chairman, Fresh FM, Nigeria, Dr. Yinka Ayefele, and the radio station over the death of Ayefele’s publicist and Fresh FM General Manager, David Ajiboye.

In a press statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Moses Alao, Governor Makinde offered his deepest condolences to the Fresh FM family over the loss.

He described Ajiboye’s demise as a painful loss, and he prayed to God to grant the Chairman of the Fresh FM Stations, Dr. Ayefele, the Ajiboye family and the management of the FM stations for the fortitude to bear the loss.

The governor equally prayed for the repose of the soul of the renowned media and entertainment chief, even as he also expressed his condolences to the family he left behind.

Makinde said, “I am shocked by the news of the death of Mr. David Ajiboye, the General Manager, Fresh FM, Ado-Ekiti, after a brief illness.”

Similarly, the senator representing Oyo South senatorial district, Kola Balogun, said that the news of the sudden passing away of Mr. Ajiboye, a long time associate and Station Manager of Fresh FM Ado-Ekiti came as rude shock, expressing his sympathy to Dr. Ayefele and the entire Fresh FM family over this terrible loss.

Meanwhile, chairmen of Freelance Broadcasters Association of Nigeria, FIBAN and Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State, BCOS, chapter of Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers’ Union of Nigeria, RATTAWU, Comrades Seun Akindele and Kola Carew, respectively, have also commiserated with Fresh FM family over the loss of Ajiboye.

They described his death as a loss to the Nigerian media, especially at this time that Ajiboye was contributing greatly to the broadcasting family.
