Reported new 117 COVID-19 cases in eight states have spiraled Nigeria’s coronavirus cases to 782, as at 11:25 pm Tuesday night.

This was revealed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC via its official Twitter handle on Tuesday night.

Leading the pack is Lagos State with 59 new cases; followed by the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, with 29 cases.

Other states with new COVID-19 cases include: Borno, six; Katsina, four; Ogun, three; while Rivers and Bauchi have one case apiece.

Fatalities increased by three to 25, while the number of discharged cases has risen to 197.

NCDC had tweeted, “117 new cases of #COVID19 have been reported: 59 in Lagos, 29 in FCT, 14 in Kano, 6 in Borno, 4 in Katsina, 3 in Ogun, 1 in Rivers, and 1 in Bauchi

“As of 11:25 pm on the 21st April, there are 782 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Discharged: 197. Deaths: 25.”
