A socio-political coalition, the Coalition of South-South Community for United Nigeria, yesterday paid a solidarity visit on former governo not Akwa-Ibom State, and senator-elect, Senator Godswill Akpabio.

Recall that Akpabio is vying for the seat of the Senate President of the incoming National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

CompassNG reports that as the race for the number three citizen hots up, no fewer than 68 out of the 109 senators-elect have keyed into the Akpabio For Senate President Project and the camp is still growing by the day.

The coalition was led by its Dean/Leader, Rt. Hon. Eseme Eyiboh.

Recall that the coalition has been touring round the country, drumming support for the zoning of the 10th National Assembly leadership, especially the seat of Senate President, to South South, and to Senator Akpabio in particular.

Their plea was heard, as just recently, the leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, at its National Working Committee, NWC, meeting zoned the Senate Presidency to the South-South geo-political zone and and further micro-zoned it to Senator Akpabio.
