Ten new cases of COVID-19 has been announced by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, thus bringing the total tally in the country to 224.

The NCDC made this known via its Twitter account around 11 am on Sunday. It tweeted, “Ten new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria: 6 in Lagos, 2 in FCT and 2 in Edo.

As at 11:15 am 5th April there are 224 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Twenty-seven have been discharged with five deaths.”

In the new data published by the NCDC , 27 people have been discharged while five patients have died. This is a slight increase from yesterday’s numbers which recorded 25 discharged patients and 4 deaths.

Meanwhile, Lagos, Abuja and Ogun are about to enter the second week of the 14-day lockdown ordered by President Buhari.
