The residence of Nobel laureate, Prof Wole Soyinka, popularly known as ARII Ijegba Forestage was cede to the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, FUNAAB by the Nobel laureate himself for academic purposes.

The acting Vice Chancellor of Babatunde Kehinde on Friday, November 18, inaugurated a board to oversee the management bad usage of the cultural and monumental edifice.

Prof Kehinde commended his predecessor, the immediate past VC of FUNAAB, Prof. Felix Kolawole Salako, under whose tenure the edifice was ceded to FUNNAB, for a job well done.

Present at the inauguration were: Prof. Kehinde, Prof. Kola Adebayo, board chair, board members: Chief (Engr) Tokunbo Odebunmi, Chief Joju Fadairo, Prof. (Mrs) Bose Shotiloye, Prof. Olusola Bamgboye and Mr. Akin Jiboku, Secretary.

Also in attendance were: principals officers of FUNAAB, including: Deputy Voice Chancellor, Academics, Prof Christian Ikeobi; Registrar, Dr. Bola Adekola; Librarian, Prof. Fehintola Onifade; Deputy Registrar, VC’s Office, Mr Moses Ayanda; Director of Public Relations, Mr. Kola Adepoju; Assistan Director, Public Relations, Mr. Emeka Oluka and Chief Technical Officer, Multi-Media, Mr. Shaba Ajayi.
