The Young Progressives Party, YPP, has said that it would do everything possible to capture Kwara State come the 2023 general elections.

YPP National Secretary, Vidiyeno Bamaiyi, made this known in Ilorin, while monitoring conduct of the ward and local government congresses of the party in the state.

Speaking at Adewole Ward of Ilorin West Local Government Area of the state at the election and the inauguration of ward, Bamaiyi said that the party had what it takes to take over even the leadership of the country.

Bamaiyi averred that the party had embarked on ‘ballot revolutions’ ahead of the 2023 general elections, with massive sensitization of young people to change the narratives in the country.

He added that the ‘ballot revolution’ was not the bloody type, but one about preparing the minds of young Nigerians to get into the mainstream politics and support themselves to take over political leadership at all levels in the country.

This, he said, would be achieved through the ballot box, with the voter cards of young Nigerians and their determination to change the old guards

Bamaiyi called on the youths to take their destiny in their hands, by registering for the Permanent Voter Cards, PVC, which would afford them the opportunity to participate in the 2023 elections.

He counselled the younger generation not to allow themselves to be toyed with and be deceived by politicians, who never meant well for the country with enough evidences to show their negative actions and intentions towards younth.

Also speaking, leader of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, team to monitor the exercise, Assistant Electoral Officer, Mohammed Sanni Abubakar, said that the exercise was in line with the provisions of the Electoral Act, 2022.
