The member of the House of Representatives, representing Oluyole federal constituency, Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe, has commended all members of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Oluyole Local Government Area, for conducting themselves peacefully and orderly during the just concluded ward congress.
The chairperson of the House Committee on Diaspora Affairs thanked the crop of participants in the congress from all the wards in her constituency, for their tenacity to maintain peace, inspite of provocation.
In a statement by Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Olamilekan Olusada, Hon. Akande-Sadipe, however, berated the troublesome nature of some elements, who tried to cause trouble during the congress.
She said, “Inspite of the elements who tried to ferment trouble, we thank God no lives were lost during the APC ward congress in Oluyole Local Government Area.
“As per eye witness accounts, in some wards, some troublesome elements, whose popularity had waned over time, came with an ulterior motive, brandishing guns, in an attempt to disrupt and kill, but all glory to God, their attempt to cause unforetold mayhem failed.”
The ward congresses of the APC were held across the nation today, to usher in new ward executive committees across the country.
