Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, has approved the appointment of Mr. Kehinde Olufemi Onasanya as the new Head of the Service, HoS, for Ogun State.

Onasanya is to take over from Mr. Kolawole Fagbohun, who served meritorious before his retirement.

A statement signed by the Secretary to the Government of Ogun State,Tokunbo Talabi, and made available to the media stated that Onasanya, until this appointment, was Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Political Affairs and Administration.

Onasanya joined Ogun State civil service as an Information Officer, on Grade Level 08, on 2rd December, 1993 and rose through the ranks to a Grade Level 17 director, till he was appointed Permanent Secretary on 2nd October, 2020.

The statement described Mr. Onasanya as a thoroughbred professional, media manager of great repute and astute administrator. A member of many professional bodies, including the Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ, he is associate member of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.

Since his appointment as Permanent Secretary, he has worked in many agencies, including: Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs and Bureau of Political Affairs and Administration.

He is a recipient of prestigious Ogun State Award in May 2006 and first runner-up the following year. He was also best reporter, House of Assembly category, in 1999, courtesy of Ogun STATE Council of tbe NUJ.

Onasanya is happily married with children.
