…Gives Out Health Materials
The Kano State council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, has called on its members on the need to continue to adopt the best health practices while conducting their duties throughout their coverage of the battle to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the state.
The chairman of the state council of the union, Comrade Abbas Ibrahim, who made the appeal while flagging off the distribution of hand sanitizers to all media organizations operating in the state, urged journalists to exhibit courage and be guided by the ethics of the noble trade.
Reminding media practitioners to adopt safe tricks, he admonished, “Don’t go after news only to end up becoming the news.”
Chairman of Kano State Correspondents’ Chapel, Ibrahim Garba, who received the items on behalf of members of the chapel, in his response, thanked the state leadership of the NUJ for the gesture, assuring that the donated health materials would be put to proper use.
