The paramount ruler of Ikom Local Government Area, in Cross River State, His Royal Majesty, Takon Atangba, has urged the people of Ikom Local Government Area not to lose hope but have faith and co-exist peaceful with one another.

The monarch made the remarks, while speaking to our correspondent to reel out his message of goodwill during the yuletide period yesterday in a telephone conversation.

Atangba extended his heartfelt wishes to the governor of Cross River State, Senator Bassey Edet Otu, and other citizens of the state for keeping faith with state government.

He said, “I urged you all to celebrate the Boxing Day and New Year with peace and love for our dear land and one another.”

Wishing the people a prosperous and merry Christmas to his subjects, the royal father extends his royal blessings to his people, urging them not to lose hope.

He added, “May the festive season brings joy, peace, and fulfillment to all households, fostering a sense of togetherness that strengthens the bonds enjoyed by communities that made up the local government area.”

He called for the sustenance of the moral values, unity, peace, and prosperity associated with festivities, and acknowledged all the challenges faced by citizens of the land, asking them to keep faith as better days are ahead.
