A President Bola Ahmed Tinubu support group, the ‘Tinubu-Shettima Team, Abuja,’ TSTA,
has commended the election of a seasoned journalist, Hon. Duro Meseko, as the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

In statement by its Chairman and National Coordinator, , The group, Chief (Otunba) Nathaniel Dosunmu, TSTA said that the choice of Meseko, who it described as an accomplished journalist and good corporate affairs manager was a round peg in a round hole, adding that he w ears a cap that fits.

Dosunmu said, “We wish to express our gladness at the election of Hon. Duro Meseko; an accomplished journalist and a corporate affairs manager par-excellence as the new Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

“We associate ourselves with the maturity and painstaking manner the election went within the party and the choice of picking the officers of APC at the national level. Particularly, the emergence of our friend, Hon. Meseko.

The TSTA Co-ordinator pleaded with Nigerians to bear with President Tinubu’s
bold decision to remove subsidy on petrol because of its harsh implication on the personal economy of the citizens.

Imploring Nigerians to exercise patience, Dosunmu added that in no time, the dividends of the policy would bring laughter.

He said, “We wish to use this medium to reinstate our position that all we need in the country is to join hands with the government of the day to fix Nigeria and lead us to the gloryland. It is easier to damage, but much harder and time-taking, to fix the damage done, especially in governance.

“We like to use this occasson to thank the President, His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for promising to fix at least the Port Harcourt refinery by the end of the year for a start, in order to ease the implications of removal of subsidies on petrol and that this will be followed with the fixing of other refineries, one after the other.

“The President is known for walking his talks. We are sure that he will not change that principle.”

He also congratulated the National Working Committee, NWC, of APC, and wished them the absolute desired resounding success in office, saying, “We also rejoice with the National Chairman, His Excellency, Alhaji (Dr.) Umar Ganduje for “hitting the ground running to stear the affairs of the biggest political party in Africa, and as well oversee the same party recording successes, landmark achievements, and leaving behind a sound legacy of good governance.”

He concluded by saying, “Once again, we particularly rejoice with our own Hon. Meseko and pray for sound health, the wherewithal wisdom and divine direction in this new assignment. He is certainly the round peg in the round hole. The one who the cap fits.”
