The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the councillorship contest of Odolu ward in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State in the forthcoming council polls, Mrs Comfort Obaromi, has sent her felicitations to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo on his triumph at the Supreme Court.
Mrs Obaromi, a former senior lecturer at the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities in Kogi State Polytechnic, described the victory as well-deserved, while applauding the apex court in the land for affirming the mandate freely and willingly given to Alhaji Ododo by the good people of Kogi State.
The councillorship hopeful observed that the ruling has further boosted the confidence Kogites and Nigerians have in the judiciary and the role it plays in ensuring the sustenance of democratic governance in the country.
Calling on Kogi citizens to continue to give maximum support to the Ododo administration, Obaromi implored the governor to remain focused in his determination to transform and reposition the state for the betterment of the people.
She maintained that “Ododo has so far proven that he has the capacity to take the state to an enviable height with the level of achievements he has recorded within a short period of about six months in office.”
This she said is the reason and the need for all well-meaning Kogites to rally behind him and his administration.
The grassroots politician congratulates the APC family in Kogi and the entire Kogites, while averring that the Supreme Court verdict is a victory for the people and democracy.
