The Oyo State Public Primary Schools Third Term Unified Examination for the 2022/2023 academic session commenced on Wednesday, with monitoring exercises put in place by officials of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board, OYOSUBEB.

The monitoring team, led by the Coordinating Director, OYOSUBEB, Mr. Jacob Dairo, visited schools within Ibadan metropolis, Oke-Ogun and Ibarapa zones in the state.

Mr. Dairo thanked Governor Seyi Makinde for the prompt release of funds for the seamless conduct of the exercise in the state, which ensured the preparation and printing of question papers and answer booklets early.

He urged school head-teachers to ensure adherence to the unified time-table, such that it will reflect the conduct of the exercise throughout the state.

Dairo, who heads the Schools Services Department of the Board, said that the motive behind the unified time-table was to ensure simultaneous conduct of the exercise throughout all schools in the examination.

Inspecting schools in Akinyele Local Government Area, Ibadan, Dairo noted that the level of preparedness of schools and students was quite impressive.

He applauded the smooth conduct of the exercise in schools within Ibadan North, Ibadan North-East and Ibadan South-East local government areas, adding that the Oyo State government made adequate arrangements in printing unified question papers.

He said that the unified examination would ensure better performance of pupils.

On the monitoring team were the Director, Standard and Quality Assurance, Mrs. Olaide Ladipo; Deputy Directors and staff members of the Board.

Some of the schools visited include: Methodist N5, Agodi, Ibadan; HLA Special Basic School Agodi; HLA School 1 and 2, Agodi; Methodist E9 School 2, Agodi; IMG Basic School, Orita-Aperin, among others.
