The Nasarawa State governor, Abdullahi Sule, has lamented that the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic has slowed down his desire to provide and showcase his achievements within one year of his administration in office.
Speaking at Karu, while inspecting ongoing projects and inaugurating new ones in the Western part of the state ahead of his one year anniversary in office, Governor Abdullahi however assured that despite the pandemic, he will not relent in his efforts to fulfill his promise to the people of the state.
The projects inspected include the ultra modern Karu Bus Terminal, awarded in December last year at the cost of N1.9 billion with a completion duration of one year.
He also flagged-off the construction of a 25-kilometers Mararaba-Udege road and the Keffi Square/neighborhood market.
Others includes commissioning of classrooms block built by keystone bank plc at the Government Girls Secondary School, Garaku among others.
Governor Abdullahi said, “The bus terminal building is a prime project for this administration and it is located in a very key area. Now what we have to do is to expedite action to ensure that we regain the lost ground due to COVID-19 lockdown.”
