A Benue State High Court, sitting in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, has issued an interim injunction restraining Senator Iyorchia Ayu from parading himself as the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The court, presided over by Justice W. I. Kpochi, gave the order on Monday after Ayu’s suspension from the PDP by the party.
The court order followed a suit, with No MHC/85/2023, filed by Terhide Utaan, with Ayu and the PDP as defendants.
Kpochi, after giving the interim order, adjourned the case until April 17 for further hearing.
Recall that Ayu’s Igyorov Ward in Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State had suspended him on Sunday for alleged anti-party activities.
