The Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, FCT, branch of Oka-Akoko Progressive Union, OPU, an umbrella body for all sons and daughters of Oka-Akoko, the headquarters of Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State, and which is part of the Akoko South East/West federal constituency, has celebrated Hon Ade Adeogun, the member representing the constituency at the lower chamber of the National Assembly, for his outstanding and dedicated service to the good people of the federal constituency, with an award of excellence and recognition.
Presenting the award to Hon Adeogun Abuja over the weekend on behalf of the union, it’s President, Samuel Niyi Omojola, tasked the man who has come to be known as the ‘Beautiful Brand’ not to repent of falter, as there is more to be done for his constituents.
Although, not one to relish in accolades for doing what he was elected to do in the first place, Hon Adeogun, while expressing his appreciation for the award, thanked the OPU for the unprecedented support they gave him before, during and after the 2019 elections, insisting that the award from OPU is not only specially appreciated, but a clarion call to do more for Akoko South East/West federal constituency.
Reacting to the award, members of the Ade Adeogun political family, speaking through the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to Hon Adeogun, Sunday Olugbenga Abiire, expressed profound gratitude and appreciation to the OPU, not only for its support, but also for “spotting greatness in our principal, even when things were tough.”
Abiire added, “We thank every member of the union for their services occasioned by undiluted love that knows no clan.
“Undoubtedly, this award is a memorial and it is one that has energised us to do more for the good people of Akoko South East/West federal constituency.
