…Brings Total Beneficiary So Far To 500
No fewer than 100 students are to benefit in the third series of the scholarship scheme of the member of the House of Representatives representing Akoko South East/West federal constituency, Hon Ade Adeogun for Upland Colkege of Education, Epinmi-Akoko.
This is in fulfilment of his desire to democratize education for youths of Akoko South East/South West federal constituency.
The scholarship scheme, which is the third in the series, will cover the full three-year tuition for 100 lucky indigent youths and teenage mothers, who genuinely desire a second chance at furthering their education.
A statement from the office of Hon Adeogun stated that “this came on the heels of constant demands from the youths, parents and stakeholders across the federal constituency,” adding that unlike the first and second batches of the scholarship scheme, where 200 students were admitted, “this third batch will provide advantage for only the best 100 of candidates that will apply, bringing the total beneficiaries to 500.”
The statement further directed interested and qualified candidates to visit any of Hon. Ade Adeogun’s constituency offices at Isua-Akoko, Oka-Akoko, Akungba-Akoko and Oba Akoko to obtain and submit their application forms.
As is the norm, all applicants are informed that they will be made to undertake aptitude tests in line with the school’s admission procedures to determine the most qualified 100.
The statement further added that “it is Hon Adeogun’s hope that youths, especially the indigent across his constituency will once again take advantage of this opportunity in full to increase their chances at life and strengthen the human capacity development of Akoko land, which has always been of paramount concern to him as a long standing leader and mentor of young people.
