Ahead of the 2027 governorship poll, aides of the governor of Cross River State, Prince Bassey Edet Otu have begun campaign for their principal by passing a vote of confidence and endorsing him for the race.
The aides urged those eying the governorship seat not to quest for the office as there is no vacancy for intruders.
The governor’s aides, operating under the aegis of Special Advisers Forum averred that the governor has performed exceptionally while in office and passed a resounding vote of confidence in the governor.
Hailing Governor Otu on his giant stride, the Forum’s chairman, who doubles as the Special Adviser to Governoe Otu on General Duties, Barr. Ekpenyong Akiba enumerated Otu’s achievements to include execution of road projectss and health facilities in the state.
He said, “Governor Otu has revived the Adiabo Eseku road which has been abandoned for decades by the Federal Government.
“Besides this, the governor has successfully recovered the Tinapa Business Resort and is presently the property of the state government.
“Governor Otu has proven to be a leader with a difference and so we at the Special Advisers Forum unanimously pass a vote of confidence in him ahead of 2027.”
Akiba averred that due to Otu’s tremendous performance, the opposition parties no longer exist in the state.
The SA stated that because they have been accommodated in the state and have seen reason to work with the government and think Cross River State.
In his remarks, the Special Adviser to Govwrnor Bassey Otu on Project Monitoring, Mr. Raphael Adoga stated that the governor has intervened massively in rural roads in the Northern senatorial district of the state.
The governor’s aides enumerated the lofty projects of the administration to include the Obudu Airport, Ndok rehabilitation and about 20 interventions in healthcare services in the area.
Also speaking, the Special Adviser to the governor on Asset Recovery, Barr. Gilbert Agbor, stated the Governor Otu is at the moment constructing a ₦470 million medical centre in Cross River Central senatorial district among other lofty projects that will better the lots of the people.
