Newly installed Queen of the Non Indigenes Traditional Council of Ibadan and Oyo State, NITCIOS, Margaret Balogun, has enjoined Nigerians to live in peace among themselves, just as she requested for a befitting secretariat for the body and a bus from the state Governor Engr Seyi Makinde.
Speaking at the inauguration, almanac launch and honour to few distinguished Nigerians at St Joseph Catholic Church, Ibadan, Queen Balogun, who was installed by NITCIOS, led by President of the body, His Royal Highness Eze Ndigbo of Ibadan and Oyo State on behalf of the body, Queen Balogun, who was obviously elated said that peace would be her watch word, even though it is in existence among the ethnic groups in Ibadan.
She explained that it was a great honour for her to be installed as the Queen by NITCIOS, stressing that her joy knows no bound while she feels fulfilled.
Mrs Balogun, who becomes the Queen Mother of all the royal highnesses, said that it would be much better if Nigerians can come together and make the country great through their collaboration.
The Queen explained that unity and peace would be the central piece of her policy, adding that it is imperative for
Nigerians to forget their ethnic and religious differences and work for the greatness of the nation, positing that with this in mind, there would be growth and development while peace and unity will endure.
She nevertheless used the occasion to solicit for the assistance of Governor Makinde in the procurement of a secretariat and a bus, revealing that the body currently uses the Eze nNdigbo of Ibadanland and Oyo State office for their operations.
She pointed out that the acquisition of this would be a great achievement for the fledging body, as it will enhance its activities, while giving it a corporate outlook.
