…Congratulates New Acting Rector
Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde has been lauded for the appointment of Dr Taiwo Lasisi as the acting Rector of The Polytechnic, Ibadan.
Commending Makinde for Lasisi’s appointment, a former chairman of The Polytechnic, Ibadan chapter of Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions, NASU, Comrade Ibraheem Adekunle Akande, in a letter congratulating the newly-appointed acting Rector, which he personally signed and made available to the media, eulogised the governor of Oyo State, Makinde, for appointing someone he described as “an astute administrator and lecturer of note as acting Rector for the Polytechnic, Ibadan.”
Akande, who is also a member of NASU National Executive Council, NEC, said, “The appointment of Dr. Taiwo Lasisi will bring back the lost glory of the institution and bring succour to members of staff of The Polytechnic Ibadan.
“Lasisi is a level headed man, who listens to the yearnings of staff, students and will move the institution to a greater heights.
“We are very happy that the people’s governor deems it fit to appoint a man who had served in the system for over two decades without any blemish to superintend over the affairs of the institution.
“I congratulate staff and students of The Polytechnic Ibadan, even as I heartily welcome Dr. Taiwo Lasisi back home.”
