The former senator representing Cross River North senatorial district in the National Assembly and the honourable Commissioner for Education, Senator Stephen Odey, has canvassed the support of his kinsmen of the Ewor clan for the administration of the governor of Cross River State, Senator Bassey Otu, assuring them that with Otu in the saddle, a lot can be achieved by the Ewor clan before the administration elapsed.

Odey gave the assurance when a delegation from the Ewor clan paid him a courtesy visit at his Okuku Yala residence in the Yala Local Government Area of Cross River State at the weekend.

The delegation, led by the Obadabada of Ewor clan, Elder Moses Odey, and Hon. Christopher Mohie, the councilor representing Yache Ward, promised to work harmoniously and in one accord with the former law maker to ensure that the Otu’s administration delivers on its mandate.

Present at the meeting were Elder Chris Idu, Hon. Joe Idu, Engineer Michael Agu, and several elders and chiefs, accompanied by youths and women of the Ewor clan, who assured Odey of their unwavering support for the Otu administration, promising to put their weight solidly behind whoever Odey supports once the campaign bell for 2027 tolls.

The delegation expressed their total support, loyalty, and dedication to Senator Odey, lauding him for the councilor produced from among the Ewor clan, and commended the ongoing Yache Alifokpa road and Akreha bridge constructions, and the several infrastructural and human capital development in the community.

Earlier, Comrade Albert Ojeka, an indigene of the clan, and several others expressed their desire to become Senator Odey’s disciples.

The courtesy visit was rounded off with the community elders and kingmakers of Ewor clan conferring a chieftaincy titled of ‘Ogbaje Wokú Bokú Sukò, and Yela 1 of Yache’ (meaning: Pathfinder and Light Bearer of the people) on the former lawmaker.
