The Federal Road Safety Corp, FRSC, has elevated 11 officers to the rank of Commanders in Cross River State Sector Command of the Corps.
The elevation followed their being found worthy by the FRSC to be elevated due to the dint of hard work and effort invested in the discharge of their duties, a development that made the commission to add another feather to their caps.
Speaking at the ceremony, while decorating the 11 newly harmonized officers on Friday in Calabar, Sector Commander of the Corp, Corps Commander Joseph W. Toby, charged the newly elevated officers to rise up to the occasion and live up to the expectation of the command.
He urged the new Commanders to have at the back of their minds that promotion comes with new responsibilities, urging them to re-double their efforts at repositioning the Corps.
He stressed that the command would not tolerate any act of lackadaisical attitude, but hard work to uplift the command to enviable pedestal.
He said, “Like it is often said, promotion comes from God. As it stands now, you will be coming to work by quarter to eight and not 8:30 am.
“You have now become team leaders, your approach to work has to change automatically. You would no longer be closing from work early. We shall all be closing for the day’s job when we all closed.”
Speaking in behalf of his promoted colleagues, Commander E.E Egholo, stated that he and his other elevated colleagues would not betray the confidence reposed in them, promising that they would do everything within their powers to add value to the command.
