The spokesman of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, Patriarch Shepherd Amah Williams, has said that the founder and leader of the fold, Olumba Olumba Obu is the ultimate solution to Nigeria’s problems.

He said this to newsmen in Calabar on Thursday at a press conference to mark the 66th anniversary of the fold’s Eton Day Celebration, disclosing that Nigeria is lucky to have Leader Olumba Olumba Obu and the spiritual organization.

Williams pointed out that in the last 66 years, the spiritual organization has grown into a global spiritual movement, fostering peace, unity, and love all over the world.

The spokesperson said the presence of the organization in Nigeria has greatly contributed to the country’s unity and progress, with spiritual intervention in critical moments of the nation’s history, including the end of the Nigerian civil war.

He said, “Unknown to many Nigerians, in 1969, during the Nigerian civil war, many prominent Nigerians, including high-ranking military officers who had grown weary of the conflict, sought the spiritual intervention of Leader Olumba Olumba Obu. The Holy Father Olumba Obu, graciously agreed to intervene, and following His divine pronouncement, the war ended in January 1970, saving the nation from complete collapse.”

He said, “The same year, Leader Olumba Olumba Obu further declared that as long as Brotherhood of the Cross and Star remains headquartered in Nigeria, the country would remain united, and any attempts to divide it would fail. This pronouncement has held true, as numerous efforts to split the nation since then have been unsuccessful. This is just one out of very many times Leader Olumba Olumba Obu has intervened for the peace and growth of this country and the world.”

The spokesman also told journalists that the March of the Redeemed of 8th August 1958, from Eton Street to Mbukpa Road in Calabar, signaled the revelation of Brotherhood of the Cross and Star as God’s New Kingdom on earth as recorded in Revelation 11:15, with members clad in white soutane, representing purity, peace and righteousness. This march also marked the beginning of the black race’s spiritual emancipation.

He also conveyed Olumba Olumba Obu’s call on all religions, peoples, governments and nations of the world to jettison every policy or action that brings segregation, violence and division amongst the human family for Eton Day signals the institution of a new world order where unity, peace and love only reigns supreme.
