The Chief Executive Officer, CEO, Opal Group of Communications, High Chief Higgins Peters and the governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal, were last week given awards of honour by the ‘100 Most Notable African Business and Leadership Elites for their numerous contributions towards advancing the course of leadership and entrepreneurship acumen in Africa continent.

The award, which took place in far away Kigali, capital city of Rwanda, on July 2, 2023 brought men and women of unquestionable and proven integrity to grace the occasion with an intention to encourage players in the leadership and entrepreneurial sector to do more.

Personalities honoured alongside Peters and Lawal include, business tycoons, captain of industries, entrepreneurship drivers, and core African leaders in various areas of human endeavours.

Speaking with journalists in a telephone conversation, Peters lauded the organizers of the ceremony for the recognition, stressing that the award will encourage him to do more.

By dint of hardwork and dedication, High Chief Higgins built his company from conception into a notable brand that it has become very widely synonymous with business excellence and models of growth.
The very select gathering in Kigali Rwanda, showcased a remarkable departure from the past, where only businessmen and women inclined to politics were invited and honoured for their contributions to the growth of African.

High Chief Higgins is one of Africa’s most gifted sons, philanthropists and motivators, whose sense of building his brand name attracted the organizers of the award.

All the invitees, nay honourees, were famed decision makers, who have really made their marks on the business circles of the African continent.

The summit sought to bring together highly recommended cross section of African entrepreneurs with different business models fashioned against the backdrop of the present and future realities of the continent.

Undoubtedly, the immediate fallouts of the summit will be renewed emphasis on expansion, digital transformation, and the human angle of the business horizon.

It provided an ample opportunity for the honourees to rub minds, build bridges of business expansion and the camaraderie that so distinguishes African participants in such continental and global events.
