Cross River State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, has commenced the distribution of 19,250 plastic tables and chairs to public primary and kunior secondary schools across the three senatorial districts of the state.

The distribution of the classroom furniture is under the 2022 UBEC/SUBEB matching grant and 2012-2015 excess fund intervention, kicked-off with benefiting schools in the Southern senatorial zone to make learning easy for pupils and students.

Speaking on the issue the Chairman, Cross River State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, Senator Stephen Odey, lauded the state governor, Prof. Ben Ayade for remaining consistent in the provision of resources for infrastructure and learning facilities to encourage learning in schools.

Senator Odey charged the students and teachers to complement the state government’s efforts by protecting classroom facilities against theft and vandalism in the interest of the pupils.
