The fourth edition of the Amaka Ndoma-Egba Memorial Lecture Series will hold on Saturday, November 23, 2024 by 4pm at the premises of Start-Rite Schools, Abuja, with the theme ‘Leaders of Tomorrow: Creating Lasting Change in a Complex World.’
This was disclosed in a release by the media and communications unit of Start-Rite Schools Abuja.
Amaka, late wife of the Pro-Chancellor of Federal University of Lokoja, FUL, and erstwhile Senate Leader, distinguished Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, SAN, died on November 19, 2020, in a ghastly motor accident on her way to a burial programme at Igbokoda in Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The late Amaka founded Start-Rite Schools which has evolved from a small nursery school with seven pupils in 2008 to a leading educational institution in Abuja (made up of nursery, primary and secondary school sections) with over 700 students.
The Amaka Ndoma-Egba Memorial Lecture Series is organised in honour of the late educationist, philanthropist and visionary leader by Start-Rite Schools in collaboration with the Victor & Amaka Ndoma-Egba Foundation, VANEF.
The keynote address at the 4th Amaka Ndoma-Egba Lecture would be delivered by the Special Guest/Keynote Speaker, the Most Revd. Dr. Mathew Hassan Kukah, founder, The Kukah Centre, TKC, and the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, while Brigadier General Mohammed Buba Marwa (rtd), former military governor of Lagos State and Chairman/CEO of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, is expected to chair the occasion.
Senator Ndoma-Egba, Head of Start-Rite’s Advisory Board is the host of the event.
A new edifice called ‘Legacy Building’ at Start-Rite Schools will be commissioned as part of this year’s commemorative activities for the late Amaka who ensured the entrenchment of high standards, provision of adequate facilities, creation of a positive atmosphere and conducive environment for learning in the institution.
