The Cross River State Commissioner for Education, Senator (Associate Prof) Stephen Odey, on Friday assured the state governor, Bassey Edet Otu of support from the people of the Yache nation, in Yala Local Government Area of the state as far as 2027 is concerned.

Odey gave the assurance when he played host to the governor at his Okuku country home in Yala Local Government Area.

Otu, who was on a tour of projects initiated by his administration in the North senatorial district of Cross River Yala was accompanied by dignitaries including the Deputy Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly CRHA, chieftain of the All Progressuves Congress, High Chief Higgins Peters, Hon Sylvester Agabi, and the lawmakers representing Yala state constituencies 1 and 2, Hon Odey Brian and Hon Dr Achadu respectively, among others, assured the people that one of the policy thrust of his administration is to complete projects initiated by his administration.

He assured that his administration will remain committed to delivering on its mandate and provide the people with the dividends of democracy.

In his remarks, Senator Odey assured the governor of the willingness of Yache nation to stand solidly behind Gov Otu’s re-election come 2027, stressing that Otu’s continuity is rest assured as his return to the seat of power come 2027 remains paramount to the people of the Yache nation.
