…Says ‘They Are Nonstarters
A campaign organization, Campaign for Dignity in Governance, CDG, has agreed with the governor of Lagos State, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, in his assertion that his opponents in the coming March 11, governorship election are apprentices with text book ideas , without any iota of experience to handle a highly sophisticated state like Lagos State.
Backing the governor in his observation, the Convener and National President of the CDG, Comrade Razaq Olokoba, in a telephone conversation with our reporter on Sunday morning added that apart from being a bunch of textbook apprentices, they are also nonstarters, who want to use a mega state like Lagos as secondary school laboratory experiment, asking them to go back to the grassroots to test their luck at the councillorship level, because no single Lagosian with the level of his enlightenment would allow anybody from anywhere to distrupt the good work Sanwo-Olu has been doing since 2019.
Olokoba said, “As the name of our organization implies, we have tested a lot of administration across the country through our secret Periodic Dignity Test, PDT, and Sanwo-Olu has constantly passed the tests without him knowing. There are others who passed the tests. Mention can be made of the former governor of the state and now Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN. And people should recall that we have said it times without number that there is no vacancy yet at the Alausa Roundd House, the Lagos State seat of power, because the current occupier, Sanwo-Olu, along with his team are doing well.
“We emphasize always that the good people of Lagos are too wise to change a winning team in the middle of a crucial game.”
Olokoba further averred that the people of Lagos are aware of the presence of some contenders for the Lagos gubernatorial throne, as permitted by democracy, but quickly added that “the same democracy that gives everybody the rights to aspire to any position of his dream is the same democracy that says it is a game of number.”
Hr pointedly out that “with the situation of Lagos State today, the greater percentage of number is behind Sanwo-Olu’s second term in office bid.”
Olokoba, a Chartered Public Administrator, CPA, member, Nigeria Institute of Management, mNIM, and security consultant, however admitted that “all the contenders, pretenders and even the political apprentices, with textbook ideas are allowed to test their luck at the poll unhindered.”
He however expressed the belief that, “March 11 will surely separate the men from the political kindergartens.”
Urging Governor Sanwo-Olu to keep his eyes on the ball as usual, Olokoba called on the people and residents of Lagos State to keep supporting the performing governor and keep their Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs, intact to give Sanwo-Olu another resounding victory that would further guarantee more dividends of democracy for all and sundry.
