The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of Federal University Lokoja, FUL, distinguished Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, SAN, has congratulated Governor Bassey Edet Otu of Cross River State, on the occasion of his 65th birthday celebration.

Ndoma-Egba, a former Senate Leader and one-time Chairman of Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, described Governor Otu as a God-fearing and peace-loving politician who has lived a life of service to humanity and contribution to societal transformation.

The former Senate Leader noted that Otu, fondly referred to as Sweet Prince, has demonstrated true leadership with great zeal and determination to make a difference in governance since he came on board as the governor of Cross River State.

In his heart-felt congratulatory message to the governor, Ndoma-Egba, erstwhile senator representing Cross River Central senatorial district, prayed for him wishing him many more years of good health and divine blessings, and the wisdom and knowledge to continue to pilot the affairs of Cross River State in the right direction.

He said, “I rejoice with our amiable governor, His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Otu, on the occasion of his 65th birthday.

“As he clocks 65 today, I wish him a long and glorious life and pray the Almighty to bestow him the wisdom and courage to navigate our state through its current challenges to its destined blessed future.

“You have shown promise and dedication and your story will be a happy one. You have shown the ability and willingness to make a difference in the steering of the ship of our dear state.

“You have always been a faithful and humble man of peace, a forthright and diligent politician and a team player. May God in His infinite mercy continue to shower you with His blessings and protection, and grant you all that you need to take Cross River State to enviable heights.

“Happy birthday, Your Excellency!”

Ndoma-Egba, a former colleague of Sweet Prince in the seventh Senate and one of the top political figures who stood firmly behind him in his aspiration to become governor of Cross River State, urged Cross Riverians to remain steadfast in their support for the Otu-led administration.
