All is now set by the government of Cross River State to host a rebranded trade fair before November 2024 winds to an end

The state Commissioner for Commerce and chairman, Steering Committee for the fair Dr. Abigail Duke, disclosed this on Thursday in Calabar during a media parley with journalists.

The commissioner stated that the fair is targeted as a multi-sectoral trade promotion and networking.

Speaking on the theme, ‘In Support of Our Shared Prosperity,’ Duke stated, “The fair is aimed at creating opportunities for trade, business and investment promotion in the state.

“It would also provide markets for new products, create access to new markets and development trends as well as build build new business relationships within and outside Nigeria.”

She enumerated targeted participants to include the 18 local government areas of the state, private companies within and outside Nigeria, foreign embassies/consulates and state governments across the country.

Duke averred that the fair is not for herbs and traditional medicine practitioners, but for entrepreneurs to meet and rub minds with one another and find a way forward on how to actualized business ideas.
