The Borno State government under the leadership of Governor Babagana Zulum has vowed to revoke all title holders of the 10 layouts under the Borno Geographic Information Service, BOGIS, Pilot Scheme, who had been issued notices since June 2020.

This was contained in a press statement personally signed by the Executive Secretary of BOGIS, Engineer Adam Bababe, a copy which was made available to our correspondent in Maiduguri on Wednesday.

Bababe, however, gave an 11-day window, beginning from now till 31st December, 2023 for holders to perfect their title documents, update their records, develop/submit building plans, failure of which will result in the revocation of their plots.

The statement reads, “The Borno Geographic Information Service wishes to bring to the attention of title holders of the 10 layouts under the BOGIS Pilot Scheme, who were issued notices since June 2020 that government shall revoke all tittles that fail to update their records, develop/submit building plans by 31st of December 2023.

“The pilot layouts are: NEF/78 and 78 covering the whole of GRA, but not limited to commissioners’ quarters, NNDC, doctors quarters and all sub-divisions within the areas.

Others include: GRA BOTP/131 and BOTP/63: all New GRA area and its sub-divisions; BOTP/44: all Polo area generally; BOTP/48 and 48A1: all GRA Extension and Jiddari; LP/NE/30 Extension: former House of Assembly Quarters and BOTP/122 and 122 Extension: Gambole Road.
