The Excellence Men’s Club, Ibadan, Oyo State, on Sunday December 19, 2021, held it’s end of the year get together, at the Cultural Centre, Mokola, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
In a chat with the President of the club, Hon Oriola Odunayo, he revealed that the vision had mission of the Excellence Men’s Club us to help members of the club live meaningful and purposeful life socially and economically and impact positively on members of the society at large.
Hon Odunayo said, “The end of the year get together is organiser to express our appreciation to God Almighty for His mercies, provision and protection over very member of the club from the beginning of 2021 till date, despite all odds and the troubles associated with 2022, every member is alive and kicking.
“It is also to show appreciation members if the club for their support, commitment and relentless efforts towards the modest success of the club in the year and at taking the club to the next level.”
On what the club has achieved in the outgoing year, the President revealed that in its modest ways, the club had provided assistance to many of its members in several ways, financially, morally, socially and otherwise, adding that apart from this, “There is tremendous improvement in the financial standing of the club, just as we have been blessed with the entrance of new members into the club.”
Hon Odunayo revealed that his expectation for the club in 2022 that it “continues to grow from strength to strength, for all members to be alive, and improve in their standard of living; to get a club house where the activities of the club will be held.”
The President further advised and wished wish that club members will be more committed to the activities of the club in the new year, uphold the provisions of the club’s constitution, pay their dues as and when due, and renew their commitment to the club’s aspirations so that much success can be achieved in 2022.
The Public Relations Officer, PRO, of the club, Hon Bolaji Abiodun, a former honourable member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, who represented Ibadan North East state constituency, during the administration of former Governor Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala, in a chat with CompassNG, said, “I thank God for the opportunity to be alive to witness this programme and be here.
“Let me put on record my appreciation to the President, Hon and the Vice President, Dr. Hamdalat Onasanya, the Medical Director of Hamdalat Specialist Hospital, Agbowo, Ibadan, for how they have been piloting the affairs of the club and their commitment to the growth of our club.”
On his expectations for the club in the coming new year, Hon Abiodun said, “I believe that the club will have its club house and more people will come on board as members.”
