…Extends Yeas Of Service From 35 To 40

In commemoration of the World Teachers’ Day, WTD, on Monday, October 5, a special salary scale for teachers across the nation has been approved by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The President also increased the number of years of service for teachers to 40. It previously used to be 35 years like every other civil servants.
The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, made the disclosure on Monday, October 5, 2020 in a speech he read while representing the President at the celebration of the 2020 World Teachers Day.
According to Adamu, the implementation of the new salary scheme is to encourage teachers in delivering better service.
