The whole wide world literally stood still at the auditorium of The Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, during the posthumous 60th birthday celebration of the late Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, at Ikotun-Egbe, Lagos, as men of God across the globe came in their droves to celebrate with him.
The 60th posthumous birthday celebration was organized by the wife of the late pastor, Mama Evelyn Joshua and SCOAN members.
Countries across the world that sent in their representatives to grace the superlative birthday bash include: the United States of America, United Kingdom, Russia, India, Botswana, South Africa, Ghana and a host of others too numerous to mention. They all attested to the humility of the great prophet, whom they described as the light that shines for others to follow.
Besides drama presentation by SCOAN youth, there were also birthday wishes from guests.
Amongst the attendants who made wishes was a popular Nigerian prophet of God, who doubles as the General Overseer of Champions Royal Assembly, Abuja, Prophet Joshua Iginla, who had this to say,
“The late prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, was a man of simplicity, who rose from a humble beginning to the pinnacle of his career. A man of simple words, who came to shape the Christendom by adding colour and glamour to televangelism.
Speaking further, he said, “Prophets are men of mystery. And that’s why when we look at the life of Prophet T.B. Joshua, many people might not understand him except the Lord reveals him to you.
‘’He is a gift from heaven, but sadly many who are like Peter in the Bible do not understand the designs of heaven. His detractors obviously got him wrong in many directions. But then, never you call what God has cleansed and sanctified unclean.’’
Iginla advanced further that the late “Prophet TB Joshua took the bullet for the rest of the prophets, to the consternation of all, adding that the Arigidi Akoko, Ondo State-born T.B.Joshua was a pathfinder, and a gift from God to mankind.”
Iginla was so excited to tell the congregation that T.B Joshua was a delight that his generation witnessed.
He enthused, “Thank you mama Evelyn Joshua and SCOAN members. Happy birthday prophet T.B Joshua. He is a gift to mankind and humanity. I am glad that my generation felt the impact of this legend of faith. He is a pathfinder. I call him the firstborn in the prophetic who took the bullet for so many of us and broke the ground.
‘’The persecutions, trials, depth, and maturity in which he comports himself in his lifetime are worthy of emulation. We are not talking about a man who preaches, but about a man who lived with the full fruit of the spirit seen.
“He was a hated man, yet gave people love. He was persecuted but amidst that, he was patient. I am glad that my generation has seen such a legend of faith.
‘’I wish to quickly add that the prophetic ministry is so strong that a carnal mind can not comprehend it. Prophets are men of mystery. And that’s why when we look at the life of Prophet T.B. Joshua, many people might not understand him except the Lord reveals him to you.’’
