An all-female non-for-profit organization, Women for Change Initiatives, WCI, has felicitated with the Lagos State governor Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu on successfully putting the state in the prestigious Guinness World Records, saying, his performance has yet again thrown him up to the world as a super achiever.
WCI Coordinator, of Barrister Eyitope Success-Adekunle, in a brief statement in Lagos at the weekend, said, “Sanwo-Olu is like a golden fish that has no hiding place, either in water or ashore. Wherever he might be, his achievements would bring him out for the world to behold.
Mrs Success-Adekunke averred that the latest in the row of both local and international recognition and awards had shown that the Award of Integrity he has been winning all this while has not been fluke after all, urging him not to look back as he has put his hands on the plough, because the people are yearning for more from his stable.
The legal practitioner cum right activist wrote on the heels Governor Sanwo-Olu’s collection of the Guinness World Records’ certificate as holder of the world’s largest anniversary logo made with cupcakes mosaic on Friday.
Reports have it that the record was in respect of Lagos State government’s celebration of the 60th independence anniversary of Nigeria, with 60,011 cupcakes mosaic anniversary logo in the world, on October 1, 2020, an initiative that had placed Nigeria and Lagos in the Guinness World Records as holder of the world’s largest anniversary logo made with cupcakes mosaic.
The WCI expressed the confidence in the governor that he would be gingered further to continue to make Lagos a destination of investment and a 21st Century economy through his dogged commitment to the realisation of the THEMES Agenda that assures a mutually beneficial and enduring relationship between Lagos and any other friendly partners in the areas of education, road infrastructure, employment and sports, among others.
The group leader, therefore, enjoined the good people of the state to continue to give Sanwo-Olu the required support he deserves; enthusing that, “Sanwo-Olu that has not disappointed us up till this moment will not disappoint us as his footsteps and body language point to the direction of an Eldorado at the end of the day.
Concluding, Success-Adekunle also urged the governor to keep on doing more because, according to her, the good people of the state could not be tired of the dividends of democracy, asserting that human beings are born Oliver Twist that always asks for more.
