…Asks Public To Ignore Recruitment Advertisements Purported from LASUBEB
The Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board has warned members of the public to be wary of scammers who are out to defraud unsuspecting applicants in its name, saying that the Board is not conducting any recruitment exercise.
In a release by the Public Affairs Unit of LASUBEB, it said, “The attention of the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board, LASUBEB, has been drawn to an unauthorised social media circulation of a new recruitment exercise for public primary school teachers.
“Recall that we had earlier informed the public that the ongoing LASUBEB teachers’ recruitment exercise was put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic in line with the state government’s directive that all public gatherings be halted.
“The Board categorically dissociates itself from the adverts and website offerings as well as any email purported to have originated from the state regarding this subject.”
LASUBEB added that the job advertisements circulating on the social media is blatantly false and are meant to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.
It added, “In the event that any individual receives an email from any platform or website advertising teaching opportunities from LASUBEB, please proceed by absolutely DISREGARDING the message. DO NOT supply any personal details nor make payments to any individual or website.
“We hereby inform the general public that the continuation of the Teachers Recruitment exercise will commence in due course and successful applicants will be notified accordingly.”
