A Lagos-based businessman, who came to visit his family in Ilorin, Kwara State, has been reportedly killed by yet to be identified gunmen.

The middle aged man, Biola Osundiya, said to have been busy with his business in Lagos reportedly came to Kwara State to be with his immediate family for a little while, was attacked and killed in a yet to be unraveled circumstance.

Sources said that he might have been trailed to one of the drinking joints around the Kwara State Council for Arts and Culture in the Geri Alimi area of the state capital.

The source added that the deceased was allegedly in the company of a girl and was seen to be in a deep conversation with someone on his phone describing to the person his location before his alleged assailants arrived.

The sources said that shortly after, he was shot by some two strange men who traced and arrived the spot on a motorbike, rushed back to their bike to escape and left him in the pool of his blood.

He was said to be based in Ilorin, Kwara State, initially where his two wives and children reside, but he recently relocated to Lagos to start a cement business, the source added.

His younger brother, called Segun, who confirmed the incident on Sunday, said that the development has left his family devastated, pleading with the security agencies to help fish out the perpetrators of the dastardly act and be made to face the law.

The Kwara State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Ajayi Okasanmi, when contacted said that the police is still on the trail of the killers.
