The 24th combined convocation ceremony of the University of Maiduguri, suspended since 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and prolonged university lecturers’ strike, may now hold on 23rd September, 2023.
The Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Aliyu Shugaba, announced this in Maiduguri on Monday, April 3, when he said that in spite of what he described as daunting challenges and the paucity of funds due to the current cashless policy, the committees entrusted with planning the ceremony would live up to the task to make the convocation a huge success.
