The Director General of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Campaign Council in Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State, Barrister Felix Alonge, has charged Nigerians not to entertain any fear in the incoming government that would inaugurated on May 29, assuring that the country is in safe hands under the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Presidency.
In a chat with the media, Barrister Alonge, who doubles as a Senior Special Assistant, SSA, to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, said that the giant strides recorded in Lagos State by the President-elect, when he superintended over the affairs of the Centre of Excellence as governor between 1999 and 2008 would be replicated at the national level under the Tinubu Presidency.
Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in line with extant electoral laws and having polled the highest number of valid votes, declared the presidential candidate of the ruling APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the winner of the February 25 presidential elections.
Alonge said, “Tinubu is a pacesetter in Lagos State, where he governed the state for eight years; many of his ardent supporters are following him because of his intellectual capacity, welfarism, human development and advocate of progressive democracy.”
Insisting that nobody sacrificed more for the democracy the country is enjoying today than Asiwaju Tinubu, who he described as a strong voice in the fight against the military junta during the National Democratic Coalition, NADECO, struggle, Aluko described Tinubu as Awo of our time, who believe in social welfare of the people.
The Ondo State Coordinator of Tinubu/Shettima Emilokan Strikers, an APC support group, noted that a lot of people misunderstood what the President-elect stands for.
He enthused, “In spite of his contributions to our democracy and the APC, he had to passed through rigour to clinch the presidential ticket of the ruling party, a development which ought not to have been.”
Alonge further insisted that despite the campaign of calumny against the President-elect by the opposition and enemies of progress, Asiwaju is physically and mentally fit to lead Nigeria to greatness, saying that their strategy to discredit and demarket him failed woefully.
He stated further that prophecies of doom by some politicalprophets failed, because Asiwaju Tinubu is God’s Project that no mortal can pull down by fake prophecy.
Advised losers in the election to approach the court if they are not satisfied with the outcome of the election, rather than resort into violence and instigate the masses against the electoral commission, Aluko added, “Most of the parties that have approached the court are doing so because of the fake prophecy, self-made opinion, and social media polls, among others, that placed them above other candidates in the race.
“It falls within their constitutional rights to approach the court and proof their case beyond reasonable doubt, because litigations are not won on sentiment or emotion, but on facts and figures. Whichever ways, Nigerians have spoken with their PVCs on February 25 and voted Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
Alonge further appealed to co-contestants for the Presidency to cooperate and work with the President-elect to make Nigeria great, adding that the President-elect is ready to run an all-inclusive administration that will ameliorate the suffering of the masses.
Meanwhile, Alonge has commended various support groups in Ondo State that worked for the victory of Asiwaju Tinubu, most especially the Tinubu/Shettima Emilokan Strikers, saying that there’s always a reward for loyalty and commitment.
He said, “Nigerians youth can be assured of better place and patronage in Tinubu government. The President-elect knows the impact and contributions of the youths in the just concluded election; they stand to benefit more in the administration.”
