Former President of Democratic Republic of Congo, DCR, Dr. Joseph Kabila and his Mozambiquan counterpart, Jaoquin Albeato Chissano, are expected as speakers at the third edition of His Holiness Leader Olumba Olumba Obu’s Christmas/Public Lecture, scheduled to hold on Saturday, 18 December, 2021, in Calabar.
Spokesperson for the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, BCS, Patriarch Christ Shepherd Edet Archibong, made the revelation during a press briefing with journalists which took place at the BCS World Headquarters, Ambo Street, Calabar yesterday.
Another prominent individual scheduled to also speak at the public lecture is the Indian Monk, the President-General of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, respectfully referred to as President Maharaj by the monks and devotees and functions chiefly as the spiritual head of the order, His Grace Srimat Swami Smaranananda ji Maharaj.
The BCS spokesperson, who spoke on the theme of the event, “Unity in Diversity As Key To Peace and Sustainable Development’ stated that the public lecture is series and part of a set of strategies aimed at publicizing and making available the teachings of peaceful co-existence by Obu to the global community.
He averred that the lecture would avail participants opportunity to listen to what was prophesized centuries ago that Christ will teach all things and bring to remembrance all that Christ said.
He said, “The teachings will greatly complement that of Christ, ensure everlasting life for those who practice them, as well as lead to peaceful coexistence and economic development.
“The Leader Olumba Olumba Obu Public Lecture series is an annual gathering of great personalities across the globe to reflect on the recondite wisdom of the Ancient of Days as compiled into the Everlasting Gospel for the benefit of humanity.”
